The Chef de Cuisine will lead the culinary operations at our Fine Dining Steakhouse, delivering exceptional dining experiences aligned with Forbes 5-Star and Michelin standards. This role requires a visionary leader with strong culinary fundamentals, creativity, and operational discipline. The ideal candidate will inspire and mentor a high‑performing team while driving innovation and maintaining uncompromising quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, execution, and presentation.
Ensure all dishes meet Forbes 5-Star standards for quality, flavor, and consistency.
Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team to foster excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner with the Executive Chef on seasonal menu planning, costing, and sourcing premium, sustainable ingredients.
Monitor and control food and labor costs, inventory, and P&L performance to achieve financial goals.
Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership for seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Support pre‑opening initiatives, including SOP development, culinary training manuals, and service standards.
Participate in special events, tastings, media engagements, and culinary promotions, as needed.
Cook on the line as needed and remain actively engaged in daily operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including at least 2 years as Chef de Cuisine or equivalent in a luxury or Forbes 5-Star, Michelin, or James Beard recognized business.
Culinary degree or certification preferred.
Food Manager Certification required.
Proven experience managing multi‑outlet or fine dining operations.
Strong financial acumen and P&L management expertise.
Mastery of culinary fundamentals, modern plating techniques, and menu design.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, pre‑opening or evolving luxury environment.
Physical ability to work on your feet for 8–10 hours daily.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
