Job Summary Responsible for performing specialty functions and evaluations to support aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing and engineering operations. Support development of solutions integrating technical expertise, problem‑solving methodologies and fostering a culture of innovation that improves the performance of Chromalloy.

Essential Duties & Tasks

Develop programs for CNC grinding machines and create documentation to set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain all equipment related to the area of specialty.

Generate instructions and checklists for the operation of equipment and related materials for use in tests and/or production.

Take measurements and perform evaluations according to standard and non‑standard methods, ensuring all testing is accomplished in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Record and report test results after performing calculations, analyzing data, and making graphical representations as appropriate.

Conduct work within established criteria and specifications; aid, guide, and train less experienced team members.

Perform safety checks on all equipment and safety instruments, maintain equipment readiness, and minimize downtime in the event of malfunction.

Prepare technical report summaries and periodically present work to internal customers.

Handle movement of gas turbine parts and miscellaneous equipment throughout the facility.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow appropriate health and safety practices.

Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through specialty work experience (may require technical education).

Proven ability to assist technically while interfacing with other technical team members and other functions within a matrix organizational structure.

Proven experience in the use of best practices and technology.

Proven experience resolving non‑routine problems requiring analysis to understand.

Proven experience in CNC grinding processes.

Uses foundational CI tools to improve operational performance of the department.

Typically, minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine engine engineering technician (laboratory, manufacture, or repair) or combined equivalent, achieving progressively increasing responsibility and results.

Education

Technical associate’s degree in area of specialty or high school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience.

Skills / Knowledge / Proficiencies

Practical and demonstrated experience working in an environment related to specialty.
