Key Responsibilities
Perform general manufacturing processes which may include the following.
Work from complex blueprints, sketches, weld symbols, and process sheets to establish procedures and sequence of operations; perform setups of tooling and fixtures, as well as layouts of components to be welded.
Identify and/or devise basic tooling.
Weldment must meet quality standards.
Perform own material handling and follow good housekeeping and safety practices.
Maintain welding equipment and work area for a safe and efficient operation.
Initiate corrective action to resolve fairly complex problems, and report major malfunctions and continuing difficulties to supervisor.
Assist others as directed. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
Press buttons, pull levers, or depress pedals to start and operate cutting and slicing machines.
Adjust machine controls to alter position, alignment, speed, or pressure.
The position requires the employee to stand and/or sit for long periods and to lift up to 50# frequently.
Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Must have production welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate welding proficiency.
