Job Summary The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies; place and expeditiously order; and verify receipt.

Perform general electronic inspections, diagnosis, repairs and replacements autonomously.

Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance.

Conduct failure analysis, establish root causes, and take actions to avoid repetitions.

Perform electric and electronic activities such as low‑voltage panel repairs, PLC program loading or DC/AC engine speed control.

Detect abnormalities on sensors, actuators or variable‑speed drives.

Update information in the maintenance systems and prepare maintenance reports.

Perform electrical, electronic, automation and electromechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, overhead cranes, electrical installations of the building (600 VAC and below), and office installations.

Apply knowledge of EMT, rigid, liquid‑tight conduits; install wireways, disconnects, junction boxes; run wires, cables, network cables according to NEC.

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical machines and equipment.

Coordinate maintenance plans and schedules with production supervisors.

Assist in creating preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or a related field preferred, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.

At least 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician, particularly with low‑voltage controls and 3‑phase systems in an industrial setting.

Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and CAD.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Strong verbal and written communication competencies.

Self‑starter, able to work with minimum supervision.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Must be able to travel when needed.

Must be able to work weekends, holidays if necessary.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Schedules

Night shift – start time 6:00 pm.

Monday–Friday and Saturday or Sunday.

Sunday–Wednesday (46 hours).

Wednesday–Saturday (46 hours).

Limited overtime available.
