Hours & Shift 6:00PM -4:30PM, Wednesday - Saturday. Weekend and overtime work required. Regular and prompt attendance expected.

Responsibilities

Electrical, mechanical, programming, high speed packaging and processing equipment maintenance

Advanced computer: Windows, Excel, Word, Visual Basic, AutoCAD Electrical

Instrumentation: Level, Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, calibrations

Allen Bradley software and hardware skills

Basic networking: Ethernet, Controlnet, DeviceNet

Electrical safety: 480VAC, arc flash, mechanical safety, LOTO, food safety

Design and building control panels, Wonderware, Historian experience a plus

Troubleshoot, calibrate, test malfunctioning components (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical) on high speed machinery systems

Inspect and perform system operational checks on high speed machinery, industrial control systems, instrumentation systems

Analyze and assist in repair of components using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, hand tools

Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications

Assist in design and building industrial control panels for control upgrades or new equipment and processes

Assist, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines and associated assigned systems

Adhere to documented HACCP, SQF, KOSHER and internal guidelines

Coordinate with supplier, Production, Quality and Engineering to improve procedures and resolve problems

Perform all operations according to Safety Policies, GMP, SOP

Qualifications

Two years of related experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferred

One to three years’ experience in industrial automation and control desired

Food industry/Dairy industry experience desired

Must read and understand electrical diagrams, blueprints, drawings, P&ID’s, and technical service manuals

Communicate, read, and write in English required

Skills & Personal Attributes

Suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of shop, department, and maintenance crews

Assist in keeping work area clean

Experience with general office equipment, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel

Weekend work and on-call off hours, rotating weekends

Other duties as assigned

Education

Associate degree in electronics, instrumentation or a closely related field

High school diploma or equivalent with technical or trade school automation

Physical Requirements

Frequently kneel, head/neck movements, reach outward, reach above shoulder, drive/operate equipment
