The Boiler Operator Chief operates and maintains the boiler plant for the medical campus, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations and supporting building systems. This role supervises a team of rotating shift boiler operators, performs hot water boiler maintenance, and responds to alarms or emergency repair requests.
Base Pay Range $33.00/hr – $41.00/hr
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain boiler plant for medical campus.
Observe and dispatch maintenance engineers for building automation system alarms regarding HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.
Maintain and perform checks regarding hot water boilers around campus.
Respond to emergency repair requests and carry out additional responsibilities as delegated.
Licensure and Certification
Minnesota 1st class B boilers license or greater.
Meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer.
Pay Increase Boiler Operator Chief position has a +10% pay increase from the standard pay grade ($44.12 OR $45.87).
