Job Details We are seeking
two Machine Operators
in our Pellet Department to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in
Quitman, GA . Come and grow with us! Our machine operators expertly use advanced machines and tools to sharpen and grind steel to perfection, transforming raw steel into razor-sharp edges that power our industry. Pay starts at $14.50 per hour with performance and wage review after 90 days.
Responsibilities
Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades
Use simple or specialized hand tools
Use tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
Read industrial blueprints
Complete Statistical Process Control Charts (SPCs) for all assignments
Forklift certified (or able to become certified)
Load and unload steel from machines
General cleaning of machines and area
Work with a high sense of urgency
Wear mandatory PPE
Provide support and training to others
Active participation in Lean and Safety Training
Cross‑train to other positions as requested
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to troubleshoot problems with people
Able to accomplish daily work requirements to meet customer demands
Must speak and read English
Must be able to do basic math
Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance or up to 100 pounds with lift assist
