ELECTRICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
Perform LOTO to ensure safe isolation and verification of zero energy state
Troubleshoot new and existing electrical systems, including new and existing machinery
Perform preventative repair and maintenance of electrical systems, devices, and equipment
Perform work from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Test electrical circuits to ensure their operability, phase rotation, and conductivity
Install electrical wiring and components to design and code specifications
Operate test equipment like volt/ohmmeters, meggers, and circuit tracers
Perform other assigned duties, ensuring efficient and effective work environments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
3+ years of work experience in commercial equipment maintenance and repair
Active electrician's license
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with 3-phase electrical systems
Experience with 480/277 volt and 208/120 volt systems
Adapts well within a team setting
Demonstrated skill in practicing safety requirements and OSHA standards when working with hazardous energy, heavy loads, working at heights, and operating equipment
Able to identify and implement efficient paths of action to complete assigned work
Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices and controls
Ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools as well as measuring and testing instruments
Demonstrable knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations, and standards of electrical equipment
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports
Excellent communication and computer skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available for overtime and weekends
Stand: Up to 10 hours per day
Sit: Up to 3 hours per day
Push/Pull: Up to 75lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day
Overhead reach: Up to 1 hour per day
Walk: Up to 6 hours per day
Lift/Carry: Up to 50lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day
Climb (ladder/stairs): up to 3 hours per day
Kneel/Crouch: up to 1 hour per day
Upper body twist: Up to 6 hours per day
Ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees: up to 3 hours per day
Candidate must be capable of safely working at heights (up to 500ft), in confined spaces, using an air purifying respirator, and performing the physical requirements of the job listed in the job description. Candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment questionnaire and/or physical to confirm these capabilities, which may include a medical history review.
