Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with relevant departments and individuals and thoroughly understand applicable devices in the facility.
Work safely to prevent injuries by following safety rules and regulations, including proper wearing of company PPE.
Assist ARP planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools, and personal knowledge to determine root cause.
Exercise judgment when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high‑voltage systems, ensuring compliance with site voltage maximums and understanding electrical/electronic schematics.
Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, PLC networks, and cranes.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components.
Maintain records of work performed, repair details, and material usage.
Perform necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments, calibration, assembly, installation, testing, and execution of preventative maintenance on various manufacturing equipment.
Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
Perform daily housekeeping duties within the immediate work area.
Use SAP maintenance module to execute duties, acquire information, document corrective actions, and account for time.
Operate related diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi‑volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools.
Qualifications
Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights for extended periods.
Logical, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work from heights.
AC/DC troubleshooting experience required.
Knowledge of melting, casting, and rolling processes and related equipment is preferred.
Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with MRO system and SAP system preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to operate mobile equipment such as loaders, cranes (incl. rigging principles), man‑lifts, brick‑lifts, and forklifts.
Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience required.
Strong multitasking abilities.
Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
