Position: CNC Machinist
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce parts according to customer specifications. This role requires strong technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Duties
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining tasks, including hand tools and power tools.
Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on process improvements, and tooling upgrades.
Position Requirements
Proven experience with programming, set up, and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes (Mazatrol controls preferred).
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in Mastercam or similar for design review and modifications.
Experience with programming for toolpath generation and optimization.
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and manufacturing principles.
Ability to use measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions.
