Position Description
Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks and/or other heavy equipment
Interpret work orders and technical manuals
Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
Regular attendance is required
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations

Position Requirements
Must have a CDL Class B or higher
Must have acceptable MVR
Must have 3-5 years experience in diesel engines and hydraulic systems
Must be willing to travel
Must have own tools
Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing, etc.
Must work in a neat, orderly and safe manner
Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine systems diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
Required Physical Skills
Able to perform rigorous physical labor for a continuous period.
Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
Capable of properly installing & removing PPE.
Ability to wear PPE and understands when to wear it.
Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands and sense of balance.
Ability to sustain awkward positions/postures.
