Position Summary The Quality Control Technician I performs assays on products to ensure product quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Independently perform assays and evaluate results for product qualification
Adhere to quality control work instructions
Maintain complete, contemporaneous, and accurate records of all work performed
Manage reagents and inventory used for QC testing
Participate in continuous process improvement activities
Adapt to a fast‑paced quality control process
Be comfortable working with radioactivity
Develop, revise, and review SOPs, qualification/validation protocols, and reports
Perform additional job duties as assigned
Experience
Up to 2 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Growth Experience
Ability to learn and acquire new molecular biology skills to perform complex assay testing
Understand the quality control process to meet ISO compliance standards
Increase ability to troubleshoot assays and procedures
Provide constructive feedback on QC improvements
Key Attributes
Drive and determination
Background in Molecular Biology applications
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications
Positive relationship management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced/change‑oriented environment
Self‑starter
Driven to perform
Self‑directed with minimal management assistance Able to organize and prioritize a diverse set of responsibilities to ensure focus on growth and success of company is achieved
Education
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in Biology or Biochemistry
Salary The estimated base salary range for this position is $48,000–$64,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job‑related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan and generous benefits.
