Off Shift Industrial Mechanic – Kraft Heinz

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to work at our facility in Davenport, Iowa. Ideal candidates are safety‑ and quality‑oriented, able to work in a refrigerated, fast‑paced environment, and ready to mentor line operators in a team‑oriented setting. This role combines mechanical work with leadership responsibilities, focusing on line coverage, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities & Duties
Operate and maintain all equipment in the assigned area.
Train oneself and others on mechanical skills, repairs, overhauls, maintenance systems, computer skills, and predictive maintenance techniques.
Communicate and coach team members on basic tasks in a professional manner.
Perform maintenance duties such as changeovers, center lining, and other tasks requiring a skilled maintenance set.
Coordinate with mechanics, operators, and supervisors on other shifts to ensure maintenance efforts are aligned.
Qualifications
Experience as a mechanic or comparable technical background.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred technical certification.
Minimum one year of continuous prior employment.
Ability to work any shift (8‑ or 12‑hour, including overtime) as needed.
Post‑July 27th 3% salary increase applied.
Work Schedule The position requires flexibility across shifts (8‑ or 12‑hour) and includes potential overtime.
