LEMOINE
LEMOINE is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the commercial industry, specializing in concrete forming or drywall finishing. As an entry‑level Carpenter, you will assist in framing, concrete forming, and finishing work, reporting to the project foreman and working collaboratively with the team. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites.
Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
Assembling and fastening materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives
Installing structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
Constructing forms and pouring concrete
Finishing surfaces by sanding, staining, and painting
Assisting in the preparation and cleanup of job sites
Operating hand and power tools safely
Qualifications
Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 55 lbs
Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs
Hand/eye coordination
Must be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform work
Will need to perform sedentary to heavy work
May operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all types
Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing/pulling, or standing and lifting
Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
May be required to work in confined spaces
Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
Physical Requirements To perform the essential functions, Carpenters should have manual dexterity and the ability to assemble things. They must kneel, squat, stoop, bend, and climb; lift up to 75 pounds, and have good balance and coordination.
