VP Racing Fuels is seeking a full-time
Facility Maintenance Crew Member
at multiple levels (Crew I–IV) to join our high-performing team at our Elmendorf, Texas plant. This hands‑on role is essential to the safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of our top‑tier racing fuels.
As a
Facility Maintenance Crew Member (Crew I–IV) , you'll be a vital part of our operations, working across various skilled trades such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and welding/fabrication. From routine upkeep to troubleshooting and repairs, your efforts will help ensure our facility, equipment, and grounds run like a well‑oiled machine.
This opportunity is ideal for a reliable, hardworking, and safety‑conscious professional who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a dynamic team environment. Depending on your skills and experience, you may be placed at a Crew I‑IV level, with clear growth pathways available.
In this role, your essential duties and responsibilities consist of the following:
Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on production equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across a variety of equipment.
Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of plant areas, restrooms, and grounds.
Safely operate forklifts, lawn equipment, and small engine tools.
Work from SOPs, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance work orders.
Support teammates across maintenance levels and act as a mentor if in a Lead role.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues to leadership.
Support facility upgrades and special projects as needed.
We place team members at the appropriate level based on your experience and skills:
Crew I
– Entry Level
Basic mechanical knowledge and hand tool usage
Willingness to learn electrical, welding, or hydraulic systems
Groundskeeping and cleaning responsibilities
Performs basic maintenance tasks under supervision
Crew II
– Intermediate
Performs unsupervised repairs and identifies parts needed
Basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
Can read basic blueprints and handle light plumbing, welding, and carpentry
Crew III
– Advanced
Troubleshoots and repairs more complex equipment issues
Installs and services new facility equipment
Reads and interprets technical manuals and detailed schematics
Fabricates parts and helps develop PM/PSM procedures
Crew IV
– Expert
Proficient in 2+ trades (e.g., electrical + mechanical)
Can program VFDs and troubleshoot control voltages (12-24v)
Installs/wires new equipment and works without labeled schematics
Develops and improves CMMS systems and PMs

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise. If this describes you and you meet the following requirements, we would be happy to speak with you:
High school diploma or GED equivalent AND at least three (3) years of related experience; OR any combination of education and experience that results in the applicable skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Willingness to work hard, learn quickly, and prioritize safety every step of the way
Able to lift 50+ lbs., operate forklifts/equipment, and work both indoors and outdoors
