Refrigeration Technician – DPT 126 Location & Shift
Fort Smith Slaughter – 3rd Shift 11:00 p – 8:00 a Compensation
$21.00 – $28.50 per hour (based on assessment) Benefits
$1 per hour weekly attendance incentive $1 per hour night shift premium Outstanding benefits: 401(k), medical, dental, vision insurance, and more 6 paid holidays per year (after 90 days) Paid vacation (after 90, 180, and 270 days) 2 personal days per year (after 90 days) Position Summary
Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system. Responsibilities
Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO₂ system, air pressure, chilled water, and plant temperatures. Troubleshoots inoperative or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to determine root cause. Listens for unusual sounds, feels for unusual vibration, and communicates observations to users. Dismantles inoperative or malfunctioning machinery and equipment, installs new or repaired parts, and reassembles. Performs preventive maintenance: cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Monitors facility temperatures and adjusts as necessary. Obtains and maintains required certification for the HAZMAT entry team. Obtains and maintains a boiler license and completes OSHA checks of internal boilers. Other duties as assigned. Safety
