Responsibilities
Evaluates drawing specifications to determine the work to be performed.
Programs, sets up, and operates all machine tools within the MTO department.
Proficiently utilizes machine controls to manipulate machine functions and produce quality products.
Verifies conformance of finished instrument/device to customer specifications.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of machine tooling.
Calculates and sets machining factors such as RPM, feed rate, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
Records inspected dimensions, completes all documentation of work performed, and accurately records time through Visual Labor tickets.
Inspects parts and documents results of inspections on in‑process inspection plans.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Performs required periodic maintenance on CNC equipment.
Adheres to company safety requirements.
Assures that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 3‑5 years of related experience.
Minimum of 1‑3 years of CAD/CAM experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong mechanical and trouble‑shooting ability.
Practical/technical knowledge required for the job.
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings.
Ability to efficiently produce an adequate volume of work in a timely manner.
Ability to perform tasks within a team‑oriented environment.
Working knowledge of CamWorks, SolidWorks, HSM, Fusion, or other 3D modeling software is a requisite.
Familiarity with controls such as FANUC is a plus.
Knowledge of all forms of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, micro‑height gauges, OC, etc.).
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of GD&T.
Manual machining experience preferred.
Strong understanding of metal characteristics.
Working knowledge of metal forming/fabrication is a plus.
Ability to produce tasks with accuracy and neatness.
Willingness to seek out new assignments and assume additional duties when necessary.
Reliability for task completion and follow‑up.
Ability to perform work with little or no supervision and demonstrate proper judgment and decision‑making skills when necessary.
Willingness to be punctual, observe prescribed work periods, and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Willingness to adhere to company safety policies and regulations.
Ability to cooperate, work and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, subordinates, and/or outside contacts.
Physical Demands
Light to moderate physical exertion required.
Lifting/carrying maximum 50 lbs.
Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility.
