The Construction Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while supporting the overall project.

Duties & Responsibilities

Load and unload job site materials.

Pull electrical wires and conduits.

Terminate wires.

Set traffic signal/lighting equipment.

Build services/controllers.

Dig trenches and backfill holes to prepare for construction.

Operate equipment and heavy machinery as needed.

Assist with excavation, including shoveling rock from areas inaccessible to heavy equipment.

Set pull boxes.

Tie in bores.

Pour foundations.

Smooth and finish poured concrete.

Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, and bring problems to the attention of the foreman, safety director, or HR manager.

Maintain and inspect equipment.

Perform pre‑tip and post‑trip inspections.

Required Skills & Abilities

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to travel to and from job sites, including occasional overnight stays; transportation and hotel are company provided.

Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with lead and co‑workers.

Listen to directions so that work is done properly and safety is maintained.

Working Conditions

Job sites may be hot in summer and cold in winter, hazardous, noisy, and dusty.

Occasional work in a warehouse.
