Senior Sprinkler Service Technician

This role falls within Johnson Controls and offers competitive pay based on skills and experience.
Base Pay $24.50-$35.00 per hour
Job Description What You Will Do Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representatives and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre‑action, deluge, and fire pumps.
How You Will Do It
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Work alone as needed.
What We Look For
3-5 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler service industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
Overnight travel may be required.
Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, working on scaffolding and high‑lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Follow, read, and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
Preferred
NICET Level II certification is a plus.
Backflow certification is a plus.
