Job Overview
This position is for a
Field Service Technician
responsible for conducting safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at Ring Power Corporation.
Responsibilities
Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes.
Maintain a necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
Inspect components to insure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.
Complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times.
Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost overrun prior to the job being completed.
Approach work positively, maintain conduct supportive of the work team, and set the standard for others to follow.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Train and/or mentor others in the department.
Assume the supervisor’s position temporarily as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

5–6 years of relevant experience.
Completed all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech I.
Able to easily comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs. (Not required but highly desired)
Successfully completed relevant specialized equipment technical courses. (Not required but highly desired)
Updating of Knowledge Job requirements frequently change; re‑training is required once or more per year.
