Overview
We are a purpose‑driven company committed to deploying innovation and technology to protect people and assets worldwide. We are hiring an assembler for sensor manufacturing – an opportunity to work on complex combustible, electro‑chemical, or infrared sensors requiring wiring and soldering.
Responsibilities
Assembly and testing (including set‑up) of complex sensors and sub‑assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Some troubleshooting required.
Picking material out of the warehouse.
Performing visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.
Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork and inputting information into the computer system.
Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
Understand standard units of measure and set up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
Perform standard software operations including SAP.
Perform work that requires magnification; concentrate for prolonged periods.
Infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
Infrequently stand in a stationary position.
Use power and hand tools and custom tooling.
Work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various levels within the organization, including training of new associates.
Organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards.
Wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves, and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.
Willingness to work on various product groups and flexible shifts.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 months manufacturing and/or related experience (if lacking, training will be provided through a temporary agency before full‑time employment).
Preferred Experience
Past soldering experience (training provided if no experience).
Position Details
Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Starting pay: $22.19/hr + $1.00 shift differential (Pay Grade HR130)
