Acuren Inspection is looking for a Rope Access Technician to support our operations in South, TX. Preference will be given to candidates with an NDT or mechanical trades background.

The Rope Access technician is responsible for managing the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, organizing work functions specific to rope access jobs, and supervising crews performing a broad range of technical and industrial services at heights. The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to promote safe and effective work performance.

Responsibilities

Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders

Be conversant with relevant work techniques

Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of a level 1 Rope Access Technician

Assist other technicians as required

Ensure operational safety of all equipment

Requirements

IRATA or SPRAT Level I Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling

Valid driver’s license preferred

Required certification levels for specific projects

Must have industrial refinery experience

Must have mechanical industrial experience

Preferred individual with the NCCER certification (Trained Individual)
