Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Fire Service Technician to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities
Performing service calls on new and existing systems
Service, Program, Test, and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems.
Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
Provide technical support to Customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years of technical school, electronics training or equivalent military training
2 + years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis
2 + years working networking of computers, operating MS Office, and Windows XP, (or equivalent).
Should have knowledge of the products that Pavion uses.
Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
Ability to read blue prints and schematics
Must be familiar with analog/digital multi-meter
Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
Ability to finish any type of projects
Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
Ability to write correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Strong customer communication skills
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
Ability to function as an effective team member
Ability to adapt as schedules change
Preferred Qualifications
DMP,Bosch experience preferred
EST knowledge a plus
