Land Survey CAD Drafter for Boundary Surveys
Exacta, dba Landmark Survey Group, is one of the nation’s premier residential and commercial land surveying companies. We provide services in Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Texas, including residential, commercial, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys. Our work supports real‑estate transactions among buyers, sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and agents.
Under the supervision of the Drafting Manager, the CAD Drafter will prepare survey drawings and related drafting assignments, working in an office environment and reporting to the office at 690 Lakeway Plaza Blvd, Ste A, Worthington, OH 43085.
Responsibilities
Project coordination with Drafting Manager to discuss specific project and drafting requirements.
Prepare all builder‑services drawings (boundary/topo finals, grade certificates, etc.) in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
Maintain consistent and accurate timesheets through Paylocity.
Fully adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures, and work directives.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and managers.
Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs safely, ethically and professionally.
Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
At least 1 year of drafting experience in the surveying industry; applied CAD experience.
Proficient in Carlson/AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
Experience in home‑builder or residential survey drafting is a plus.
Knowledge of topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys is a plus.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; able to work independently and under pressure.
Capacity to balance workload to meet client expectations.
Proficient with job‑related software, e‑technology and cloud‑based solutions.
