MTS is excited to announce we are looking for quality Diesel and trailer mechanics for first shift at our Michigan City, IN facility!
Martin Transportation Systems is a solid and stable automotive niche carrier with a success story of over 30 years. Since our one-truck beginning in 1978, we've grown to a fleet of over 900 trucks and employ over 1,500 drivers, owner-operators and support staff. A dedication to technology and low-cost, high-quality transportation solutions, as well as the acquisition of six other carriers, have let us build a solid customer base that should catapult us into another 30 years of success!
Job Type: Full-time - All Shifts
Required Experience
Mechanic: 1 year
Diesel Mechanic: 1 year
The Right Diesel Mechanic Will Have The Following
Experience using Class 8 diagnostic tools
Some experience as a Diesel Mechanic repairing trucks and/or trailers
Be able to diagnose, repair and perform general maintenance
Be able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of Freightliner Tractors
Be able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of trailers
Trailer repairs, services and welding
Light computer work also requested
Must have your own basic tools
Pay based on experience
Willing to train the right candidate
