Overview We are currently hiring Truss Builders to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in starting a long‑term career in the construction and manufacturing industry. No previous truss building experience is required — we provide comprehensive, hands‑on training.
Position Summary As a Truss Builder, you will play a key role in assembling structural building components used in residential and commercial construction. This position requires individuals who are physically capable, safety‑minded, and eager to learn valuable trade skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble pre‑cut lumber into roof and floor trusses according to specifications.
Operate various hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
Accurately read and follow work orders, drawings, and blueprints.
Work efficiently as part of a production team to meet daily goals.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Read and understand set‑up sheets.
Position plates properly.
Operate gantry.
Verify lumber accuracy with sheets.
Verify truss set up is accurate.
Perform daily operator maintenance.
Maintain 100% crew efficiency.
Mark individual trusses when required.
Train Builder Associates.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving materials.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, hardscaping, or general labor is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications (Additional)
Able to read and write in their primary language.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to read or able to learn to read a set‑up sheet.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $18.00/hr
Scheduled wage increases: $0.25 raise every 3 months for the first 6 months.
Monthly performance incentives up to $450.
