Position Summary The CNC EDM Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC EDM and laser machines while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot minor setup and operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
Comply with the TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance) program.
Adhere to CTQ (Critical to Quality) program requirements.
Set up and operate assigned CNC EDM and laser machines.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor setup and operational issues.
Perform machining operations according to specifications and work instructions.
Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain production efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
Perform daily housekeeping and follow all safety procedures.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Adhere to and promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
Ensure compliance with IPM/QPM procedures and ISO 9000 quality requirements.
Additional / Occasional Duties
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
Support R&D efforts, including new program development.
Perform manual machining operations as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in machining, CNC EDM setup, and program editing.
Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Ability to accurately interpret operation sheets and in-process documentation.
Proficient math skills and basic computer/technology proficiency.
Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately.
