experienced TIG/Flux Core Welders
to join our client’s team in Joplin, MO. These positions offer
competitive pay
and the potential for
temp-to-hire or direct hire
placement. Candidates must have experience with
MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding , preferably in all
positions (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G) , and must be able to pass a weld test. The
Welder
will lay out, align, and weld
fabricated, cast, and forged
components to assemble
structural forms , such as
machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipes , following
blueprints and metallurgy requirements . Key Responsibilities: Select type and size of pipe and equipment, planning layouts, assembly, and welding based on geometry, material properties, and welding techniques. Utilize Gas‑Metal Arc, Flux‑Cored Arc, Gas‑Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes as required. Lay out, position, align, and fit components together using bolts, clamps, and arc welding equipment. Weld piping systems, plate, pipe, tube, and structural components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Connect and adjust welding cables for proper amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse as per specifications. Guide electrode or welding gun along the weld line, ensuring correct arc length, speed, and fusion depth. Perform tack welding, manual application of filler rod, degreasing of weld joints, and grinding or chemical cleaning as necessary. Repair broken or cracked parts and remove excess weld, defective material, slag, and spatter using grinders, gougers, or scrapers. Qualifications & Requirements: Technical Certification
(company qualification tests) or
NCCER certification preferred . High School Diploma or equivalent preferred . Previous experience in welding, fabrication, or a related field. Strong understanding of welding techniques, practices, and procedures. Ability to certify on multi‑process pipe welding. Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding processes. Ability to read blueprints, visualize objects in 3D, and interpret technical drawings. Capable of meeting x‑ray quality welding standards. Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations. Ability to plan work, select proper tools, and maintain accuracy in welding operations. Must be able to follow instructions, safety procedures, and industry best practices. Job Order #:
