Location: Houston, TX DFW – Main Office – 2425 Dillard Street – Grand Prairie, TX 75051, USA

Responsibilities Lead three or more other workers to accomplish trades and labor work, including as a paramount requirement sufficient skill in and knowledge of the trades and labor work performed by the group led to effectively carry out the duties of a Foreman. Perform regular non-supervisory work that is usually done by the group and perform regular trades and labor work as members of the work crews or groups they lead. Pass on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors, get work started, assign the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led, work along with other workers and set the pace. Demonstrate proper work methods and ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available. Obtain needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that come up during the work. Maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Ensure that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy. Check work while in progress and when finished to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met. Lead other workers to follow instructions received from supervisors and to meet deadlines. Assure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed. Report to superintendents and project managers on status and progress of work, and causes of work delays. Answer questions of supervisors on overall work operations and problems.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years’ verifiable experience in sheetmetal trade

Thorough knowledge of sheetmetal blueprints, specifications and codes

Thorough knowledge of other major craft blueprints

Thorough knowledge of all sheetmetal system.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with employees and clients on a professional level

Ability to supervise multiple employees

Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines
