The
Appliance Maintenance Tech
(also known as the Specialty Services Technician - Appliances) plays a vital role in ensuring resident satisfaction by providing prompt, reliable and safe service. The Specialty Services Technician - Appliances is responsible for identifying appliance issues, completing service requests, and performing repairs according to company standards and safety protocols. By delivering exceptional customer service, the technician helps create a positive experience, contributing directly to resident retention and satisfaction, while consistently demonstrating our Goldmark values.

Starting pay $26 per hour (and more based on experience)!
Tools provided; valued over $1,100.

Job Duties Include:
Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of appliances, including but not limited to ovens, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, refrigerators.
Recommend replacement or repair, as necessary.
Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving residents’ homes.
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or site/property team members as appropriate.
Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours. This may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Specialty Services Technician‑Appliances.
Provide input to manager or Property Manager on property improvements for budget consideration.
Maintain an organized working inventory of routine parts and supplies.
Experience and Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Proficiency in advanced appliance repair skills. Building, home, and appliance maintenance experience.
Ability to operate common office equipment, basic computer skills, and mobile devices.
Must have vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
Business needs and/or state, local and federal laws may dictate required certifications and licensure for a region or specific location.
Preferred:
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
A well‑organized and self‑directed individual who is a team player.
The ability to train and mentor others in various locations.
