Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings Build rapport and trust with the children in your care Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed Some roles include assisting various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom Daily Pay Range:
Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment. Paid training hours and professional development opportunities (variable by state) Weekly paychecks via direct deposit Hired as a W-2 employee so no worrying about withholding your own taxes Reimbursement for expenses related to state and federal background checks 401k enrollment after meeting eligibility requirements Referral Program: Refer friends to sub with Scoot - after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards What We’re Looking For:
Passion for education and putting students first An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be College credits, Associate’s Degree, Bachelors Degree or CBEST Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor State & federal background checks You’ll stand out if you have:
Worked with children who have Special Education needs Spent time in Special Education settings Any Special Education specific training ABA experience (Applied Behavior Analysis) Experience working in K-12 schools Experience with assisting in various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom About Scoot Education
