Machinist
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the foodservice packaging industry, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machining equipment such as Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, honing machines, broaching tools, and engine lathes.
Operate CNC equipment as required to support manufacturing processes.
Evaluate and work from blueprints, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair parts without detailed prints.
Inspect own work to ensure it meets blueprint specifications using precision inspection tools.
Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and indicators, owning personal inspection tools and hand tools.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Commitment to continuous learning through structured training, on‑the‑job experience, and online courses.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, lifting up to 40 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulders.
Experience with manual and CNC machining equipment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
