Wallcovering Installer
in our Charlotte or Raleigh NC office. This critical role supports our Signs & Graphics division by preparing, measuring, cutting, and installing high-quality wallcovering materials on interior and exterior surfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and prepare walls, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly primed for installation.
Cut, match, and apply wallcoverings including vinyl, fabric, digital prints, murals, and specialty materials.
Align patterns precisely and maintain consistent seams and adhesion.
Remove old wallcoverings and repair damaged surfaces as needed.
Mix and apply appropriate adhesives following manufacturer specifications.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in clean, working condition.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and site regulations during installation.
Inspect completed work to ensure superior craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger.
Strong knowledge of wall preparation, adhesives, and application techniques for various materials.
Ability to read blueprints, design layouts, and installation specifications.
Excellent attention to detail, color matching, and pattern alignment.
Strong communication and time‑management skills.
Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed.
Certification from the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA) is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Typical Work Environment
Commercial and residential job sites.
May involve travel to client locations.
Work indoors, occasionally in confined or elevated spaces.
