Arcosa Wind Towers
is looking for a
Welder.
As a Welder , you’ll use jigs/holding fixtures to lay out pieces to be welded according to blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders and use manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. The
Welder
also inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and performs minor maintenance to equipment.
What you’ll do:
Proficiently perform Oxy Fuel Burning and Carbon Arcing
May perform multiple pass welds
Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
Observe all standard safety practices
Maintain and complete all required records
Follow all safety rules and practices
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
At least 2 years of experience or Weld School Certification
Preferred Certifications: Grinding, GMAW, Flux Core or Arcosa will Certify
Preferred Ability to qualify as a horizontal welder
Preferred Ability to qualify as a vertical welder
Preferred Certification for vertical groove welding or Arcosa will Certify
Preferred Certification for horizontal groove welding or Arcosa will Certify
The ability to communicate in English both verbal and written
Working Conditions:
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
Schedule is subject to change
