We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience installing and servicing residential overhead doors, strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills with homeowners. This role combines installation, repair, customer interaction, and safe operation of equipment.
Base pay range: $58,000.00/yr - $61,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Remove and replace overhead doors, tracks, springs, rollers, and all associated hardware
Install and program overhead door operators and related accessories
Manage downtime efficiently by identifying additional service needs or assisting with other tasks
Diagnose issues with overhead doors and operators; perform required repairs or adjustments
Bend, cut, and wrap door jambs in aluminum for a clean, professional finish
Work safely and confidently on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
Load, unload, and safely operate scissor lifts when needed
Requirements
Proven experience with overhead doors, operators, and related mechanical components
Strong communication skills to explain repairs, estimates, and product options to homeowners
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high-quality workmanship
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
Physical Requirements
Ability to work at heights on ladders or scaffolding
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy doors, motors, and equipment as required
