Assembler, Booting

Central Research Laboratories (CRL), the Remote Handling business within DESTACO is a key P&L serving the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, radio‑pharmaceutical and bio‑containment) and Nuclear market segments. Our products are recognized in the marketplace under the CRL brand.
Position Summary Perform a variety of duties to build & inspect levels of appropriate material on accordion sleeves, glove ports & other items within the booting department. This position reports to the Assembly/Booting Supervisor.
Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to
Must be able to read and understand component prints
Assemble and glue parts to prints.
Inspect and touchup by performing air tests to boot extensions and gauntlets.
Inspect and touchup by connecting air tight plates to ends, inflate and immerse in water trough to check for leaks
Perform touchup as needed
Must be able to communicate with Sprayer & Scheduler
Review work orders for number, type of boots and dates needed.
Maintain Quality and traceability documentation
Use dial indicator to measure thickness.
Train counterpart regarding process for maintaining Quality and traceability documentation
Replace parts as needed.
Review inventory of materials weekly and turn in bag tickets to reorder materials.
Dry boots and gauntlets with cloths and add anti‑stick powder.
Notify inspection of completed products.
Maintain Assembly Room Housekeeping during shift
Experience
Requires dexterity skills
Basic math skills.
Requires ability to read, write and interpret prints to complete assemblies.
Must be able to mentally track several jobs simultaneously and actively stay productive at all times.
Requires close attention to detail.
Minimum 1 years working in a manufacturing environment required
Experience with Oracle a plus
Experience with MS Word and MS Excel
Must be able to work effectively under deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation
Use a variety of fixtures, hand and power tools and precision measuring devices during operations.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and problem‑solving skills; analytical and creative

Must clear medical respirator and chemical handling exams required to work in Booting Area.
