Machine Operator 2nd shift

Newly Weds Foods . This position requires monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting equipment while adhering to safety, GMP, and quality procedures. The operator must complete full washouts of the machinery at the end of each production run.
Duties & Responsibilities
Understand written and verbal instructions for packaging products.
Operate various manufacturing equipment in a mass/high‑volume environment.
Manipulate small parts and gauges with precision.
Use thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems.
Set up machine at shift start to ensure proper working order.
Perform safety checks throughout the shift.
Adjust machine components per finished product specifications.
Load packaging material into the machine during the shift.
Stop and adjust machine during malfunctions or jams.
Troubleshoot issues during operation.
Inspect and remove defective items that do not meet quality standards.
Clean machine and perform preventive maintenance.
Test products to verify correct weights, seals, film orientation, leaks, codes, and labels.
Document all shift activities—pre‑op inspections, quality checks, maintenance performed, and maintenance needed.
Communicate performance information to other shifts.
Clear lines at shift end.
Complete required training including washout training for sanitary washouts.
Safety & GMP Objectives
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on equipment usage and resources, and following company safety and environmental policies.
Comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory rules and regulations.
Recognize unsafe acts and conditions and implement corrective actions.
Complete appropriate paperwork related to job functions, quality, and safety/training.
Report all incidents, even those that do not require treatment.
Review and execute the Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement to provide safe, high‑quality products.
Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming, and hygiene.
The employee is not authorized to represent the company or speak to media about the company’s business or products.
