Join the team at MiTek as a Machine Maintenance Specialist. We are looking for a skilled technician who can ensure the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of our production machinery.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating when necessary, through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical issues.
Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, following manufacturer’s specifications or internal schedules.
Focus on improving productivity through equipment, materials, or process improvements.
Install and troubleshoot new equipment as directed.
Attend shifts regularly, be prepared to work overtime when required, and arrive on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
High School Diploma or GED with over two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective communication with co‑workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out Certified; Crane Certified; Forklift Certified; Ladder and Sling Certified.
Read a tape measure, use micrometer, voltmeter, and calipers; knowledge of blueprint reading; forklift repair experience desirable; general knowledge of technology or electronics helpful.
