Job Summary
At Scull Construction, a carpenter laborer assists carpenters and helpers in building, installing, designing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using wood, plastic, metal, and other materials. The role continues to grow as the team takes on high-level, challenging projects across the northern plains region. Salary
Pay: $16 – $22 per hour Benefits

Retrieve material, pick up job site, sweep floors, and assist carpenters, helpers, and superintendents as needed. Operate equipment such as a gas saw, Bobcat, and forklift. Take direction and accomplish duties outlined by your supervisor and ask questions when you do not understand the task. Be dependable to your team: work as a team and progress as a team. Assist with all tasks; even if it is below your skill level. Education Requirements

Pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol screening and random employee pool drug/alcohol testing. Have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out‑of‑town work. Arrive on time to job site fit for duty for required shift and have personal protective equipment (PPE) and necessary tools with you. Attend all safety meetings and maintain safe job site practices following company policy. Wear and maintain PPE as directed by supervisor and safety team, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high‑visibility vests. Willingness to learn and master new tasks, duties, and responsibilities. Pay attention to job details to provide an acceptable uniform product. Identify and communicate any job site hazards. Safely and correctly operate all equipment and manual/power tools. Do not operate any equipment or tools that you have not been trained to use properly. Keep all tools in good, clean, and operating order. Demonstrate and promote safety and proper housekeeping on all job sites. Display a positive attitude toward the company, fellow employees, and customers. Be responsible for working unsupervised and complete work as directed. Willingness to travel out‑of‑town. Work overtime as required, including some weekends. Maintain acceptable personal hygiene. Dress appropriately for working conditions. Required Tools
Must have the following tools listed within 30 days of hire and bring them with you to the job site as needed: Hammer 25' Tape Kleins Tool Belt Utility Knife Flat Bar Leather Work Boots Physical Requirements
Able to physically lift heavy materials (up to 75 pounds) frequently throughout the work shift. Ability to safely climb up and down ladders. Ability to work alone once instructions have been given. Able to complete a full day's assignments involving standing, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers. Ability to wear PPE and any other safety‑related equipment. Able to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms over 10 feet. Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow, depending on the job location. Able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day, with overtime and off‑hour shifts as required. About Our Company
