POSITION DESCRIPTION In this role you will perform routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles in the postal fleet.

troubleshoot and diagnose more complex vehicle malfunctions

diagnose vehicles and perform operational checks on engines, major supporting systems, parts and components

perform various computerized and electronic diagnostic tests using specialized equipment

prepare and update vehicle records, annotate labor time, and manage work orders

conduct visual and auditory vehicle inspections and road calls

EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must successfully complete Postal Service Test 943 and Test 944, to demonstrate knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make minor and major repairs to automotive systems
