Job Overview

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities. This position will work closely with our service team and clients to ensure our critical life safety systems are repaired efficiently to maintain overall performance. The role requires attention to detail in all aspects of system troubleshooting and repair, high effective human relations, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing Fire and Life Safety systems, including conventional, addressable, voice systems, complex smoke control, and networked solutions. Use a variety of troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions. Ensure maximum system detection and alarm coverage when effecting repairs. Produce repair reports in accordance with NFPA for customer acceptance and billing information. Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools. Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other technicians. Use a laptop computer to program and repair fire alarm systems. Demonstrate knowledge of Fire Alarm circuit integrity and how to troubleshoot for circuit opens, shorts, and/or ground conditions. Read fire system design drawings. Demonstrate safe use of standard trade tools. Train and develop other Service Technicians on equipment, company policies, and procedures. Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 Certification and observe OSHA safety standards. Work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency, maintain excellent organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills. Be physically fit to perform demanding work, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, working from heights, climbing ladders, standing, and walking most of the day.
