Automotive Technician/Mechanic
The Rustic Wrench, a family‑owned independent auto repair shop in Apache Junction, AZ, is hiring a professional automotive technician. We value high car volume, strong systems and a supportive team culture.
Job Description We are looking for a technician with at least 3 years of experience, preferably with ASE certification. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing a broad range of vehicles, with an emphasis on efficient and accurate work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate level of certifications/experience.
Perform complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
Work as outlined on the multi‑point inspection and/or repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
Recommend services that keep the customer’s vehicle running; properly document all recommendations.
Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Qualifications
3+ years experience as an automotive technician.
Prefer ASE certifications, but not required.
Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication with customers and team members.
