HECO
Base pay range
$24.00/hr - $34.00/hr Ready to Rebuild What Keeps the World Moving? You're the go-to problem solver who turns faulty windings into reliable performance. At HECO’s Kentucky facility, you’ll work with a tight-knit team that believes in doing it right, keeping a can-do mindset, speaking with respectful honesty, getting stuff done, and supporting one another. Who We Are
HECO has been family-owned since 1959, delivering full-lifecycle rotating equipment solutions: repair, field service, product sales, predictive maintenance, and equipment management. Our customers include power generation, metals, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, water treatment, aggregates, cement, OEMs, and general manufacturing. Your Challenge
Before any teardown, capture exact measurements and document what you find. Diagnose damage and winding failures; evaluate stator and iron health. Strip windings without harming cores, then rebuild: random- and form-wound three-phase AC, armatures, wound rotors, and DC fields. Apply the right insulation schemes to meet specs and standards. Test and record electrical results at each checkpoint. Braze connections to requirement. Run varnish operations and VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation); clean components post-process. Load/unload parts in burn-off and bake ovens; use media blasting for prep. Operate shop machinery safely and effectively. Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with PPE and safety policies. Jump in on other motor and generator repair work when needed. What It Takes
2+ years of hands-on motor winding experience. Strong knowledge of motor types, winding techniques, and insulation practices. Proven ability with electrical testing and clear documentation. Skill in brazing, accurate measurement, and basic mathematics. Detail orientation, quality focus, reliability, and teamwork. Rewards
Competitive pay based on experience, education, and qualifications. Paid Time Off. On-the-job training and growth opportunities. 401(k) with company match. Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. Additional voluntary benefits. Legal
