Summary This position preps and assembles fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Performance, quality preservation, organization, and efficiency are essential. This is a first shift position with the hours of Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, with mandated overtime based on business need.
What You’ll Do
Understands cross‑check concepts and inspects product according to Inspection Control Plan
Accurately tags material and product according to product specifications
Can identify hardware components used in assemblies
Can compute decimal equivalents and interchange fractions
Can accurately count and record production activity including picking, transfers, etc.
Can follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs
Cross‑train with paint department

What You’ll Need
The individual must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
Have completed forklift certification training with the safety team to operate a forklift
Can record time accurately, including "time and attendance" and "labor reporting" using the data collection system
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
