has a Service Technician 1 position open at our service center in S. Elgin, Illinois. The work schedule is M-F 0630‑1500.
As a Service Technician 1, you will prepare equipment for our vacuum pump remanufacturing process. The primary responsibilities are to clean vacuum pump components using a high‑pressure parts washer, bead blaster, sand blaster, or other cleaning equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Clean vacuum pump components using a high‑pressure parts washer, bead blaster, sand blaster, or other cleaning equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment as part of the Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) program.
Safely and productively operate material handling equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
Assemble crates and product packaging for shipping pumps and parts.
Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
Perform processes and procedures while maintaining measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.
Required Experience
Up to 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment: Preferred
Education: High School graduate or General Education Degree- Required
Computer skills: Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software- Required
Personal Qualifications
Work with a high level of initiative, be self‑motivated, and possess professional maturity
Must be detail, goal, and safety‑oriented
Must be organized and maintain a clean and orderly workspace
Must possess a positive attitude, be dependable, and trustworthy
Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives
Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Busch does not sponsor for visas
Job Requirements
Ability and willingness to pass a 9‑panel drug screen, 7‑year criminal history check
Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case‑by‑case basis
Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)
Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
Physical Requirements
Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25 lbs.
Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50 lbs.
All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazard protection, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
