General Description of Position: Blake Equipment is looking for a CNC Operator who is proficient with a CNC lathe and other machining equipment. They will be responsible for ensuring the CNC lathe is maintained and well casement pipe threading is being produced in a timely manner to meet customer demands. In addition, they will repair and replace components on the CNC, Band Saw, and other machines on location. CNC Operator also responsible for cutting/threading pipe maybe asked to cut pipe using a band saw to cut pipe to lengths specified by customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and machinery

Pull parts for orders following S.O.P. (Standard Operating Procedures)

Learn procedures of running CNC lathe threading

Cutting and processing of well casement pipe

Able to learn/operate front end loader

Use forklift/pallet jacks to move materials, parts, finished product or load/unload trucks

Conduct preventive maintenance before operating machinery

Lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an eight-hour workday

Stand and work for extended periods of time during work hours

Machine pipe to specifications according to work orders, keeping within branch Q.C. requirements

Responsible for maintaining and using precision measuring tools in accordance to shop requirements

Interact with customers with a professional attitude

Use band saw/skill saw to create finished product.

Hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with seasonal overtime daily and on weekends

Perform other related duties as needed

Position Qualifications: Skills and Abilities:

Good reading and writing skills

Ability to conduct job duties with minimal supervision

Able to read, understand, and calculate fractional dimensions (i.e. add/subtract fractions, fraction to decimal conversions)

Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack within safety guidelines

Able to communicate and work well with others

Ability to operate horizontal CNC lathe and Band Saw accurately and safely

Ability to use various hand and power tools

Ability to consistently produce quality work

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Ability to apply problem solving techniques to moderately complex issues

Ability to operate a fork truck and obtain certification

Ability to operate or be trained to operate a frontend loader

Minor welding experience, not required but a plus

CDL License, not required but a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
