Job Summary
ATA Services Inc. is currently seeking to hire Childcare Facility Investigators to work on a full time temporary assignment in Albuquerque, and Roswell, NM.
Pay Rate:
$22.00 per hour with weekly pay
Start Date:
ASAP
Full-time position.
8am-5pm, with the ability to be flexible outside of that time if needed
Positions are in Albuquerque and Roswell.
Travel is required and will be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities The Child Care Facility Investigator will be responsible for conducting Priority 2 and 3 complaint investigations in licensed childcare settings. These investigations focus on custodial care concerns that may impact the health, safety, and well-being of children. The investigator will assess compliance with state childcare licensing regulations (8.9.4 NMAC) and document findings.
Conduct on-site investigations of licensed childcare facilities in response to Priority 2 and 3 complaints, adhering to mandated timelines for initiation: Priority 2 within 3 working days and Priority 3 within 5 working days.
Evaluate compliance with custodial care standards, including:
Staff-to-child ratios
Supervision and presence of staff
Use of discipline and behavior management techniques
Incidents involving injuries requiring off-site medical attention
Nutrition and meal service practices
Age-appropriate developmental activities and programming
Licensed capacity
Administration of medication
Interview staff, parents, and other relevant parties.
Review facility records, incident reports, and medical documentation.
Prepare detailed investigative reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Collaborate with licensing staff to determine appropriate enforcement actions.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards.
Participate in training and team meetings as required.
Participate in administrative hearings as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Social Work, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
Experience in childcare, child welfare, or regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of child development and custodial care practices.
Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple investigations.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Duration & Schedule
Flexible schedule with potential for evening or weekend site visits. 40 hours per week.
Mileage reimbursement for travel utilizing your own vehicle, must be able to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
