We are a boutique law firm based in Oakland, California (with offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento) with dynamic and interesting federal white collar, antitrust, civil, and criminal practices. We seek a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with strong problem-solving skills who works well both independently and with others.

The position requires, among other skills, the following:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PACER, Westlaw, Lexis, and the Blue Book

Significant experience with federal and state rules and filing procedures and the ability to handle large, complicated filings

Ability to interact with clients

Familiarity with eDiscovery software (Relativity, Reveal, etc.) as user and administrator

Ability to organize and analyze discovery, as well as prepare discovery productions in criminal and civil state and federal cases

Responsibilities

Maintaining hard copy and electronic document files, including archiving and coordination of offsite file storage

Assisting with scheduling, client billing, and making travel arrangements

Maintaining attorney calendars

Helping prepare engagement letters

Creating and formatting pleading documents and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including cite checking and proofreading

Attending and documenting meetings with clients or counsel

Processing mail and purchasing office supplies
