We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Receptionist to support a busy
defense law firm . The position combines front-desk responsibilities with legal and administrative support for attorneys and legal staff. Key Responsibilities
Reception & Front Office Greet clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner Answer and route incoming calls; take accurate messages Manage front-desk coverage, conference room scheduling, and visitor coordination Maintain a polished reception area and professional first impression Legal & Administrative Support Assist attorneys and legal assistants with administrative tasks Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents Manage correspondence, mail, and document distribution Perform electronic filing (e-filing) with courts and agencies as needed Calendar deadlines, hearings, and appointments Maintain organized case files (electronic and physical) Assist with time entry, billing support, and expense tracking when required Qualifications
Prior experience as a
Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Law Firm Receptionist Experience in a
defense firm or civil litigation environment preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures is a plus
