Plans for instruction with a scope and sequence, which will guide students toward high achievement according to the local school policy

Provides appropriate material and resources for students to engage in learning

Uses effective instructional methods/models according to professional standard practice which should include hands lessons-on and digital platforms

Uses varied assessment tools to perform both formative and summative assessments

Provides instruction and assessment for understanding

Creates a learning environment which fosters creativity, energy, and excellence.

Maintains current and accurate gradebook and student data according to school policy

Practices positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom

Communicates with parents regarding academic, behavioral, or safety concerns

Communicates with parents on a regular basis through newsletters and the school website.

Meets staff development guidelines as set forth by the Diocese/local administration

Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits

Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students, and staff

Teach science to students in grades 5–8, including life, physical, and earth sciences according to curriculum standards.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate inquiry, experimentation, STEM/STREAM principles, and real-world application.

Integrate age-appropriate technology and digital tools to support instruction and student learning.

Use data and formative assessments to guide instruction and meet diverse learner needs.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and cross-curricular connections.

Conferences with parents upon request and responds to messages in a timely manner
